El qui posseeix alguna cosa per herència; hereu; cast. heredero. S'usa gairebé únicament en la locució parents i herents. «No tenir parents ni herents»: no tenir gens de família. «No esser parents ni herents»: no tenir gens de parentesc. ¿Què li importava que parents y herents ne trobessin o no?, Girbal Pere Llarch, 256.
